A recent survey conducted by Littler Mendelson, highlighted by Law360, sheds light on the unawareness among many GCs regarding the use of AI technology in their organizations.
The “2024 AI C-Suite Survey Report,” based on inputs from over 330 U.S. executives, revealed a concerning trend. While only 18% of Chief Human Resources Officers reported no usage of AI in HR functions, a staggering 52% of Chief Legal Officers or General Counsels were unaware of any AI utilization within their organizations.
Littler’s report underscored a “significant disparity” between GCs and HR counterparts, indicating a potential lack of alignment among key C-suite members. This disconnect poses substantial obstacles in leveraging AI technology effectively within corporate structures.
