However, negotiations seem to indicate that approximately 20% of TikTok may still be under Chinese ownership. It is unclear how this arrangement mitigates the risks posed by a foreign government having access to sensitive <b>user data<\/b>. Perhaps the perceived threat is diminished by the new <b>surveillance<\/b> and policing measures that have intensified since the app\u2019s initial suspension.
